Chris Bosh, dreadlocks, Entourage, Knicks. Trust me…there is a connection.

I wish I could take credit for this spectacular find but I can’t. The credit must go to the great Jeff ‘Skin’ Wade of the Ben & Skin Show on 103.3 FM ESPN Radio in Dallas and his astute basketball mind. Skin is a friend of MavsBall.com.

Chris Bosh appeared on Sunday’s episode of the HBO series Entourage. As everyone knows by now Bosh left Toronto in free agency and joined Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat. He and Wade were later joined by LeBron James. But we all know that.

Bosh appeared on Sunday’s episode of Entourage but it obviously wasn’t recorded recently because that’s not how TV works. We don’t know the exact date the episode was filmed but we can try to ballpark it.

If you remember correctly, Mavs owner Mark Cuban is going to be on Entourage. He was in Los Angeles filming his scenes around the start of free agency (July 1). It was said that Cuban was going to be doing double duty while in Cali – making TV and talking to free agents.

Bosh announced he was headed to South Beach on July 7. When he appeared on camera talking about his new team something was missing – his trademark dreadlocks. After some investigation I found out that Bosh guest hosted Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN Radio which is simulcast on ESPN2 on June 24. He did not have dreads then either. So the latest he could have his haircut is June 23.

I know you’re asking why any of this is relevant. Stick with me.

Bosh’s scene on the most recent episode of Entourage took place at a party at Vince’s house. Bosh and his lady friend were at the bar looking for some vodka. Turtle offered Bosh some of the tequila that he is trying to promote. Turtle told Bosh that the tequila would change his life the same way playing for the Knicks would have.

Bosh still had dreadlocks meaning the episode was recorded before June 24. Teams could not meet with free agents until July 1. According to our timeline, Bosh had already decided he was not going to play for the Knicks prior to June 24 yet he still met with them during the free agency courting process.

Maybe LeBron, Wade and Bosh did have this whole triumvirate situation planned for quite some time.

Until next time…

Peace. Be good.

  1. structure says:

Or maybe they did a couple of takes with him saying different things. Once he chose Miami the people who do the editing for Entourage set the clip up with him not joining the Knicks. So there goes that story.

  2. Or maybe they didn’t edit anything…

  3. OhMyBosh says:

He tweeted on june 8 that he was on set at entourage.

  4. Thank you sir. June 8 helps piece together the puzzle.
